In need of a makeover.

Not food-related but I need your help!

008

I am over my hair. So over it. I haven't colored it in over a year and I haven't trimmed in a few months.

I've had short hair before and had a love/hate relationship with it. It takes less time to blow-dry and flat-iron but oh man...I have such thick hair! It gets so poufy.

See what I mean? No?

Shiny but frizzy. I have naturally wavy hair that doesn't quit straighten or curl. Can't decide if a color and a trim would satisfy me! any makeover ideas?

PS. I'm getting my eyebrows professionally shaped for the first time in a few weeks. I'm excited about that. I have the worst eyebrows.

Your hair always looks so pretty and shiny!
Have you thought of doing more layers or a side swept bang? You get a little more shape for a small change, but don't have to lose much length.

Also, I love doing a little color- you can do a slight tint if ya want- less maintenance than highlights- which is like selling your soul to the devil :)

Whatever you do, I wanna see pictures.

i have totally different hair than you, so i'm not much help.
(my hair = fine and supah straight)
but i wanna cut my hair too and i'm a little jealous cause i gotta wait longer.

longer bangs are a fun way to switch it up, and they blend in pretty easy if you hate them.

think you and I have similar hair... I'd say a slightly reddish dark brown with blonde highlights, and a super layered cut with side-swept bangs would look fantastic! I'd have people to take you to if you were FREAKING LOCAL!

I can't believe you've never gotten your eyebrows done as yours look amazing!!

I really like the way your hair looks in the second picture. What about a slanted bob? Those are so stylish! I do see it being a bit of work though. Can't wait to see what you decide!

Chop it off. DO IT! DO IT! I did and it was such a great decision. I lost like 12+ inches. LIBERATING!

***and of course, by chop it all off I mean that my current length is about as long as your hair in the second picture. HA! However, I'm ready to go back again for a trim and I may go shorter. :-O

I agree with some of the suggestions. Side swept bangs make a huge impact without the loss of much length. Doing that with layers is safe but makes a huge difference. Maybe a rich chocolate color with red-ish lowlights? That would look lovely. ;)

I agree that your hair is lovely! I like it best in the last picture I think...it's not super short but shorter than you have it now. I also like the side swept bangs. I'm a hair schizo though and can't decide to wear it curly, straight, no bangs, bangs, so don't ask me?!

You'll look gorgeous no matter what!

I have no qualifications to give suggestions because I'm horrible at choosing hair styles for myself, too :)

My biggest suggestion? If you don't have a great hair stylist that you LOVE and trust, find one! Get recommendations and find one that can help you find a style that will work with your hair, your face, and how much work you are willing to do on it each day. It makes a huge difference.

Can't wait to see what you do :)

Girl, shut up!! You have GREAT eyebrows. You wanna talk bad eyebrows, look at MINE! I don't even have any! It's so light you can't see them! T__T

And I actually like your hair...naturally wavy...a lot of Koreans go through such pain to keep their hair that way! I really don't think you need to do anything drastic to your hair...probably just some light touches and trims to accentuate its natural beauty!

I think you have gorgeous healthy hair, I would reshape the cut and get some layers. that would thin out the hair a little bit and since its wavy it would look sexy with an air dry kind of in a natural messy (controlled messy) look. I loves. I wouldnt change a thing.

I would try an eyebrow shaping but i kinda like my brows and i hate change... te ehee.

Dude... the word verification is Tranny. LMAO

Yeah, I like the idea of side sweepy bangs - similar to your friend in the picture. But I think bangs require a bit of maintenance. So it depends on what yuo are going for I suppose. Ohh...and what about adding some carmel highlights?? I dunno - your hair is really a pretty color already, but some lighter carmely lites might be fun. Blonde would be a lot of maintenance too I think. I have darker hair and when I went blonde I felt like the opposite of a skunk with the dark roots line on the top of my head. Uggh... How fun though - good luck on your new do! Can't wait to see what you decide on. :)

I'm going to have to agree about the bangs. My hair is a weird hybrid of poofy-curly-wavy, especially in this heat. I recently got mine cut in long layers with a "swoopy" bang.

It doesn't take me too long to blow dry and straighten and the bangs give me a whole new attitude! Even if I don't feel like styling the rest of my hair, I can fix my bangs and wear a ponytail.

Change is good!

Do you straighten your hair? When I want straight hair, I have to - that way it is not poofy. I just got a great cut that I love and would highly recommend. It's a short bob that is more angled in the front. Maybe that might work?
