These are my confessions.

My Week One 5k training plan has been working out great! I had planned on running a slooooow 2 miles tomorrow but I have to volunteer at a middle school tomorrow! I totally forgot. Tomorrow I'll be busy from 7am-7pm! I am going to just swap my days off. Instead of taking Saturday off, I'll take Friday off.

009

So confession time! This is what I've been eating lately. Cheesecake on my birthday.

010

Creme Brulee. My favorite dessert on this earth!

011

005

Steak with scalloped potatoes. Not gonna lie the steak wasn't that great and was not worth it. The potatoes were a different story.

020

split a huge bbq feast three ways with co-workers. Those baked beans were fabulous! (one of those corn muffins is 600 calories by the way!!!)

018

Black bean enchiladas.

DUDE. My body is going to kill me. This is why I need to start running daily. I used my birthday as an excuse to eat dessert. (I split every dessert though!)

I am never going to be 100% perfect with my eating but I am going to try to be more honest. I have been doing much better now that my birthday is over. I am really hoping that I'll slowly get back on track.

and really 600 calories for a cornbread muffin? Disturbing!

YAY for indulging on your birthday - I'm all for it. But I hate to break it to you, running so you can eat a bad diet isn't going to work to make your body happy. I'm pretty sure you weren't really saying that you need to run so you can eat crap but yeah... it sooooo doesn't work!

I don't think anyone is ever perfect when it comes to food. You do what you can, and and that's all you can do. as we all know, depriving yourself just leads to binging and bad things. And birthdays are definitely about indulgence.
And 600 calories for a corn muffin! Do they purposely try to do that, because they don't even look that big. I at least hope they were good.

Don't sweat it, we all do it! And the cool thing about running programs is being able to "adjust" them to your schedule.

Was that at Famous Dave's? YOWZAH! I won't eat those anymore ;-)

p.s. It's impossible to be perfect. Just try to always be happy with you :)

@ABB Oh no I definitely didn't mean it that way! I don't indulge that way too often!

@See Sarah Eat- Yup, the bbq stuff was at Famous Dave's.

600 calories in a muffin?
yikes!

if you make corn muffins at home ever bob's red mill corn meal is whole grain (and others, not so much...), so it makes for healthier cornbread/muffins

Don't be too hard on yourself, we are allowed to indulge once in a while =) and plus it WAS your birthday so I think you get a free pass lol

Those muffins are so little! Good for you for living it up on your b-day - it's important to spoil ourselves sometimes.

The food looks awesome though! I can't believe that one of those muffins are 600 calories. I could have had a burger for the same amount of calories.
