More fun with food trucks!

001

Yesterday I worked all day at a middle school so my lunch was spent in my car. I feel a little awkward eating a banana in a car.

After work, Andy, Sarah (my little sister) and I headed to Glendale to eat!

006

Cupcakes were purchased. We split these among the three of us. Cookie Dough and Red Velvet.

008

Then we lined up at Cool Haus for some ice cream sandwiches.

009

010

They have such fun flavors!

011

012

Sarah got red velvet ice cream with oatmeal cookies.

013

Andy got dirty mint with snickerdoodle cookies. The dirty mint had pieces of mint leaf in it! I did not sample because I'm not a mint fan.

014

I got brown buttered & candied bacon ice cream with snickerdoodle cookies. It didn't taste like bacon at all. It was more like butter pecan.

015

The food trucks had the longest lines so we decided to leave and go to Granville Cafe. Sarah ordered an avocado bacon melt with tomato bisque.

016

I ordered macaroni & cheese with chicken and asparagus. Sarah and I split our orders so we could get a little of each.

018

Andy ordered a rib eye sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was delicious!

I'm bummed that the event didn't turn out as amazing as I thought it would but I'm glad we had some amazing food anyway. Andy and I saved our portions of the cupcakes and ate them today. Bomb.

I have good and bad news...

Good: Andy and I booked a trip for our one year anniversary! I'll announce the details soon!

Bad: I have plantar fasciitis and tendonitis! But am cleared to run. I bought some heel inserts today and they helped a little.

I'll be back tomorrow!

Are those Crumbs cupcakes?? I didn't know they had locations outside NYC!

Those ice cream sandwiches look SO unbelievable -- I can't believe you went for the bacon ice cream option! You're far more adventurous than I am :) Oh, and btw: I'm not a mint fan either, especially when it is mixed with chocolate..

You must've gotten there early. By 7 pm, the lines were beyond ridiculous. There were supposedly 20,000 people there!

Omg, cookie dough cupcake?!?!?!?! 2 of my faves rolled up into one!! :)

I think I need some heel inserts too. Did you doctor give them to you? I'm wondering if I can get some from a place like walgreens... I think I have plantar fascitis and tendonitis too. I'm interested to hear if your inserts help.
