rush rush

"hurry, hurry lover come to me?" haha. I feel so rushed today! I am trying desperately to finish my 60 page unit plan that's due tomorrow. After that, it's smooth sailing. I have a 6 page issue and policy paper due Monday, a take home final due Thursday and some odds and ends to finish up.

Come Friday May 14th and I'll be done with my first semester of the teaching credential program. I took six classes this semester because I want a lighter load when I start student teaching in August. I only have 2 classes and 2 semesters of full-time student teaching left!

I still have delayed muscle onset soreness (DOMS) from my HIIT workouts. I did 40 minutes with 8lb dumbbells on Sunday and Monday. I really want to tone my triceps. I am one of those people who gain weight in their arms first. It really sucks.

On days when I do a HIIT weight training workout, I usually do it early before eating. After my workout, I grabbed a sample sized box of Wheaties Fuel to try. (I got this at the 5k in my loot bag.)

I had 3 oz of peanut butter greek yogurt left. I added in some bananas.

The Wheaties Fuel was so cinnamon-y and crunchy. It was exactly what I needed in my yogurt. I can't seem to eat plain greek yogurt by itself. But add in some fruit, granola or cereal and peanut butter and I'm good.

Lunch was huge. 2 slices of pizza and 2 small pieces of pork loin. I used a salad plate and a food scale to measure it all. Having leftovers in the house is awesome but sometimes I over do it. Especially when I'm mindlessly typing all day. Next time I make this pizza, I'm adding way more spinach. It wilted down a ton.

I cannot wait until May 14th! I want my life back!

Wish me luck as I attempt to run 3 miles, finish 3 lesson plans and catch up on blogs. Today is my day off from work and school. I'm not hating it.

Bad Romance

I have a complicated relationship with jeans. I can never seem to find the perfect pair. Yesterday, I realized that my jeans were practically falling off me. I was excited because I've been wanting to buy new jeans but I was also nervous because I always have trouble finding jeans that fit.

Those were my tightest jeans. Obviously it was time for some new ones! Andy and I ventured down to the Banana Republic outlet and I tried on jeans in a size smaller. And they fit! So yay, I am down a size! Now I'm excited/anxious for my weigh-in tomorrow at Weight Watchers. And I'm wondering how many pounds I need to lose to get down another size.

Breakfast this morning was a slice of Nature's Pride Nutty Oat Bread with only the best peanut butter ever.

I love how crunchy and salty this PB is. The roasted flaxseeds are soooo good!

I also had a few bites of granola from my Foodbuzz Festival Swag Bag with chobani.

Cho-mance. I love the pineapple flavored Chobani so much! It's perfect. The tiny chunks of pineapple are my favorite part. And you can't beat the 13 grams of protein in it. I have a crush.

I have my interview for my teaching credential today so I'm off to prepare for that! Hope you are all having a terrific Monday! (Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" has been in my head all day!)

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

After school tonight I was craving a smoothie. So I looked in my fridge and threw together a random Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie. I need to make more of these but I'm way too lazy to clean the blender everyday. Way way way too lazy!

I used one banana, 2 tbsp Better N Peanut Butter, 1 tsp of Whole Foods Natural Peanut Butter (which is my favorite!) 1/4 cup non fat milk, 1/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt and a dash of vanilla latte powdered coffeemate that I will never use. But I'm trying to use up what we have in the pantry before I grocery shop again so...I made an excuse to use it.

The highlight of the smoothie. I honestly don't like the sweet aftertaste of this "fake" pb when it's consumed by itself but it's pretty darn good in a sandwich or in a smoothie. I want to try the chocolate kind!

I also sampled my sun-dried tomato hummus from Sabra today. It really hit the spot!

It was perfect with some sea salt pita chips. I was really craving salty today!

I ran 1.4 miles today and walked 0.6. I am feeling pretty weak and gross. I didn't lose anything this week at my weigh in. Bummed me out! But I haven't been working out much either. I'm hoping that I can start running daily.

Honestly running stresses me out so much. I want to do it and I want to run far but I feel like I just can't. I always get side stitches or shin splints and I hate working through them! UGH! I hope tomorrow's run is better. Now I'm off to do the SHRED!

Finally, a good run!

I decided to start running again. I am horribly out of shape so 20 minutes sounded pretty good to me. I ran 1.6 miles. Not an incredible time or anything but it made my day! I haven't run in a VERY long time. I'm going to try working on my runs every night before bed. I'd love to do it in the morning but I am SOOO not a morning person.

Now I am going to do a 20 minute shred video and go to bed!

Today I sampled some Better N Peanut Butter. My friend Ashley tried it and liked it so I decided it was time for me to give it a try!

Hungry Girl's Review

I thought the taste was a little too sweet. I like salty peanut butter! But...it was still good especially with a english muffin and boysenberry preserves.
