Please do not let me get sick

ugh what a day! This morning my mom called me and asked if I could babysit my sick brother while she worked. Part of me really wanted to say no because I JUST got over being sick and can't afford to be around germs.

BUT

How could I say no to that little face? (Ok this picture is 5 years old...Daniel is 8 now.)

He grew up so fast. Daniel was born the summer after I graduated high school. So looking at him reminds me of how long it's been since I was in high school. I'm getting old!

Do you see the bucket next to him? My mother sent him to my apartment with that...I was not impressed.

Oh yeah and that pile of papers? I'm still not done working through all of them. Oy vey.

Breakfast was a strawberry-banana Chobani and some almond butter & jam on toast. I've decided that this is the perfect pre-workout meal BTW. But I didn't end up working out until 1ish due to my "surprise" babysitting job.

Lunch was leftover pasta bake and some asiago bread. I am a carb-oholic. Luckily all of those carbs fueled me for a 2.5 mile run. (My knee is still really bothering me. I made a doctor's appointment to see if he has any suggestions. I think I am overdue for some knee sleeves.

I am not having the best week eating wise. I need to come up with some sort of eating challenge to help me. I even ruined my no-Diet Coke rule today. I am starting fresh tomorrow! If you know of any challenge ideas for me, please let me know!

Please do not let me get sick!!!!!!!!!

in the interest of avoiding getting sick - here is my challenge to you - something with vitamin c for breakfast, and things with garlic/greens for lunch and dinner. that's it!

I do eating challenges all the time. But I don't like ones that say I can't have something because that is exactly when I want it! I usually try to make some new recipes or use stuff up in the pantry which forces me to be creative. I love carbs too, one of the best things about running is you kinda have to eat 'em ;-) Hope you don't get sick either!

Get lots of rest and drink TONS of water! Those are the only things keeping my current sniffles at bay :)

Your little brother is such a cutie! Hope he's feeling better today.

Amanda,
When you have kids of your own, there will be time when you will need to send them to your mother's with a bucket. Be nice to her! :)

Your pasta and bread looks SOOO good.

Isn't it weird when we get sick or know a cold is coming on carbs seem like the only thing you want too eat!
