Baked Pasta with Bertolli

Last night I was in the mood for carby pasta and red wine. I had a couple of jars of pasta sauce from the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program so I decided to try 'em out.

First I layered a baking dish with my Homemade pasta sauce because I wanted to use up the leftovers.

And added in zucchini, yellow bell peppers and orange bell peppers.

And I layered some of this sauce. Thanks Foodbuzz & Bertolli. The four cheese Rosa was delicious! A little calorie-dense so I only used half.

This is my favorite pasta. I buy it in bulk at Costco.

Wine chilling in the wine chiller. Which took forever. WTF.

Caesar salad with bell peppers, tomatoes and parmesan cheese.

And cheesy pasta! mmm. I'd use less cheese next time though. It was a little much.

Served on a salad plate so I could drink more wine, to keep my portions down.

I got the same sauces from foodbuzz and bertolli!! I can't wait to try 'em out. This looks awesome!! What a yummy pasta dish!! :)

Delicious pasta dish, and yes I do love those carbs! Isn't this sauce great, I did a quick chicken dish the other night.

Your Bertolli dish looks amazing!

I loveeeeeee that pasta sauce, but you're right- it is a bit heavy on the calories to just throw any old amount in!

This dish is so something I could eat every night. I love veggies, pasta, and cheese. Great combination of flavors and taste.

Wine of course is the beverage of choice with that dish as well.

Oh man, this looks amazing! Just my kind of food... rich, savory, carby goodness! I bet a homemade version of the sauce could be redesigned with fewer calories- maybe some evaporated skim milk and really good parmasean. Yum!
