Shred Day 2

I shredded again today!

Caitlin's Shred Challenge has really motivated me to keep up with my daily dose of Jillian Michael's. I feel out of shape but pumped. I'm really hoping this challenge helps me shred a few pounds.

Some thoughts on the Shred Level 1.

If you find yourself feeling extremely sore afterwards, try doing 5-10 minutes of pilates/yoga after your Shred. I've found that this really helps my out of shape quads feel less tight! Be mindful of your knees. Listen to Jillian's tips and "no-no" movies. You don't want to damage your knees! If the jumping jacks and butt kicks bother you, try doing squats with punches. Keep that heartrate up!

I personally struggle with tight muscles that don't get used nearly enough. I stand at work for 5-8 hours a day depending on my shift and it doesn't help matters much. I find that stretching with yoga or pilates moves really helps cure the tight muscle achy feeling. Running actually helps me too!

Today's workout was much better than last nights. I'm actually excited for the day when I can trade in my 5lbs weights for 8lbs.

I am usually yelling at Jillian by minute 10. I love the work out because it is easy to follow and you feel great afterward.

I totally yelled at her too. "I've got 400 lb people doing jumping jacks!" is my personal favorite. I hate jumping!

woo im doing the shred too! :) on comcast on demand there are her new videos, and i did the no trouble zones one which is like the shred but for 45 mins, it killed me!!
