Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to make some delicious fondue. At least that's what Andy and I decided this year.

055

Andy bought me this fondue pot for Christmas a few years ago (I think...) and I definitely don't use it as often as I should!

056

We cut up some sourdough rolls, a demi loaf of asiago cheese bread, 1 granny smith apple, 1 golden delicious apple, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower for dipping

058

And made a delicious cheddar/gruyere fondue with hard apple cider. It was fabulous.

060

Dessert was dark chocolate fondue. We had pinapple for dipping!

061

And bananas, leftover apples from the cheese fondue and funfetti cake. The cake wasn't very good. Blech. We ate our fondue while watching Julie & Julia for the first time. We both really enjoyed it.

057

Our set up looks like crap due to bad lighting, ikea coffee tables and a dumb camera operator (me!) but there it is!

Do you like Valentine's Day? I've never really had an opinion on it. Now I just use it as an excuse to drink champagne with cranberry juice all night!

Broken Laptop

Hey guys! Andy and I have a fun video blog to post of the first LA Street Food Fest but my laptop is broken. I'm getting it fixed today and should have it in a few hours. The hinge between the keyboard and scene came loose so it's not a big deal!

Expect:

1. hilariously bad videos of Andy being a dork.
2. a celebrity sighting and me being too nervous to say hi!
3. the longest lines for food EVER!!!!

Love you all! I look forward to reading blogs again soon!

PS. Andy and I had a fantastic Valentine's Day. We went running outside (which was way harder than the treadmill because of all the hills!), shopping at Target, and then we made cheddar & gruyere fondue for dinner. It was delicious. We also watched Julie & Julia for the first time, which was so appropriate for Valentine's Day! Lobster Killer! haha
