Carne Asada Night!

Today was a weird food day for me. I only had 500 calories between 7am-7pm because I was waiting for our Carne Asada night with our friends Mike, Ashley and Bobby. I'm pretty sure I hit 2000 calories today :

Breakfast was boring, just a blueberry greek yogurt and a wheat roll. I love greek yogurt but I only like it if it's flavored. Unfortunately flavored yogurt means sugar...and I am really trying to cut back. I am going to have to figure something else out for breakfast.
I had leftover salad on a 15 minute "lunch" so I didn't photograph. Believe me you didn't miss much.

I was really skeptical about these carrots marinated in jalapenos and such at Alberto's but Ashley convinced me that they were good. She was right. So spicy though!

Random picture of salsa, carrots and limes.

Naturally I couldn't resist tortilla chips. So worth it though.

A picture of Andy with my Mandarin Jarritos. I liked it but way way way too much sugar! Never again, my body is hating me now.
The Carne Asada Fries. Complete with cheese, sour cream, guacamole, carne asada and fries. Or Death in a styrofoam box. This was the "smaller" order. It may kill me. But oh man it was good.
I also got rolled tacos which I didn't really enjoy. I think I ate one. Too much food!

Tonight I ate some "bad" food. Oh well I say! It's the weekend! I plan on eating good tomorrow and then having Indian food for dinner Sunday with my co-workers. Definitely not a good start to losing weight but whatever. Delicious nonetheless.
I'm exhausted so I'll catch you tomorrow

Whoa, those fries are what the Eat This Not That book would call a "Weapon of Mass Destruction." I totally recommend that book, by the by.

Carne asada is the bomb but all that sodium literally makes me feel dizzy. Add in the cheese and sour cream, and I'd probably have a heart attack by the end of the night. But it seriously looks worth it.

So WHERE did you get these carne asada fries? I need some.

It was a heart attack on a plate for sure. I have a love/hate relationship with that book because it's so informative. Some of my favorite foods are just terrible for you!

The sodium bugs me too. The next morning I had 3 bottles of water. I was so so thirsty!

We got them from Alberto's in El Monte, it's a San Diego chain!
