One thing I did for a while when I was just "maintaining" was I used the My Pyramid tracker (www.mypyramidtracker.gov) and that helped put things in categories so I'd know what I'd eaten everyday. It also adds up nutrients so if you are curious as to whether your getting enough calcium (for example) it will tell you.

I also respond well to strength training in terms of body shape and weight loss. Good luck, but I don't think you need it -- a good plan and a positive attitude is all you need :)Sarah @ See Sarah Eathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03501507918783899135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839716249093005933.post-69042851214412912472010-08-31T23:22:21.342-07:002010-08-31T23:22:21.342-07:00Im sorry I missed this post, I was uber busy, so i...Im sorry I missed this post, I was uber busy, so im catching up on the blog reading....anyhow, i like your goals. I like that your not wanting to lose weight for the wrong reasons.I usually roll my eyes when someone tells me they want to lose weight cause I spent a majority of my life trying to gain. but they are very similar battles. anyhow, i know a fabulous dietitian if you need a reference.edenhttp://www.edenseats.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839716249093005933.post-5855865695528304632010-08-30T20:38:35.092-07:002010-08-30T20:38:35.092-07:00I'm already a fan. I think it's super wise of you NOT to count calories, though I think it's also wise NOT to jot down everything you eat, at least not for more than a couple weeks or so. If by the end of 2 weeks you still need to jot them down, then you know they aren't even helping you at all.

That said, looking forward to seeing you soon!sophiahttp://burpandslurp.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839716249093005933.post-67774139546643497482010-08-30T17:23:26.499-07:002010-08-30T17:23:26.499-07:00I never thought about journaling with what I ate i...I never thought about journaling with what I ate instead of the actual numbers. I have tried to count calories multiple times this summer, but I keep giving up. I like to know how much I can and should eat, but it's really annoying.
Anyways, good luck girl! I love hearing about how others lose weight (at least, in a healthy way!) so I figure others might want to hear about it, too! I just try not to be obsessive about it, since it is a process when you do it the healthy way!

I'm all about NOT counting calories! I did that back in college, and I drove myself nuts! I think it's all about finding what works for you. Personally, I find that eating properly combined meals full of whole, unprocessed foods keeps me happy and satisfied. I also need to eat sweets every single day--> if I don't, I start to feel restricted! So I've found "safe" treats, like dark chocolate and raw puddings, that keep me happy in that department. Also, I love using scales to monitor my progress on a weekly basis, but NOT on a daily basis... too much can change on a daily basis and that would drive me crazy, too!

Sounds like you've got a good exercise plan, too! I love Jillian's DVDs!

You can do it! :DMegan @ Healthy Hoggin'http://healthyhoggin.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7839716249093005933.post-13666293298907945292010-08-30T13:11:38.009-07:002010-08-30T13:11:38.009-07:00A great and healthy plan for weight loss.
